Multi-channel promo for James Blake’s 2015 festival tour. It was a summer tour, hopefully of long days and low etting suns, so we turned James into a giant sundial. He stands in the middle of a huge circle of dates, and as the summer progresses his shadow moves round the dial showing where he will be next. As each venue passed we created a new animation for the next, with the light getting weirder as time went on, passing from day into night and beyond. We had to make quite a few versions of the sundial to cope with all the formats it needed to work across (tiny on Instagram, big online etc.) which was an interesting typographic challenge.
