Inspired by Soldier’s Rock, a sea stack on the west coast of Islay, Bowmore Stac is a textured black glass decanter, cut and polished to reveal the whisky within. Created with no exterior mould, the decanter has two chambers, each mouth blown in hot glass, and brought together whilst molten; a passage between these two chambers allows the whisky to fill the face of the front chamber, whilst keeping the vacuity (the air bubble) at the rear.
A hand carved, blackened oak presentation case, also serves as a plinth.
Stac contains a magnum (1.5ltr) of Bowmore 55 Years Old, distilled in 1962; the oldest Bowmore ever released.
